Twenty-five years is a long time for any business, but in a place like the Costa del Sol, where businesses come and go with the seasons, it’s an even bigger accomplishment.
If there’s one thing we’ve learnt over the last twenty-five years, it’s that a restaurant’s reputation isn’t just built on the food it serves, it’s earned on the local Facebook groups, in the comments, and just by asking one simple question: “where can I find the best roast around here?”
A Community Behind Us
In these times where just one bad experience shared online can have a huge impact on a business, we are incredibly proud to have built a business that can withstand even the toughest of online environments.
We’re well aware of how difficult places like Facebook can be for businesses. A bad review or an unfair comment posted publicly can cause real and lasting damage to a small business. It’s a reality that every hospitality business on the Costa del Sol lives with, and one that we have never taken lightly.
We’re aware of how quickly things can go wrong online, but what we have found is a community that’s chosen to celebrate us rather than criticise us. Our local community recommends us, defends us, shares their experiences with warmth and generosity, and we couldn’t be more grateful.
Where It All Started
We started from very humble beginnings in Montemar, Torremolinos, and we could never have imagined that some of the people sitting in those first few months would still be coming through the doors 25 years later!
From the start, The Carvery was built on word of mouth, and it’s still like that today. We had a dining room full of people who enjoyed their meal, told someone else, and then came back the next week (or even a few days later!)
Twenty-five years later, that same cycle is still the reason why people are discovering us every week. When someone has a good experience at The Carvery, they write a review on Google, or post on a Facebook group, and in some cases, they make a TikTok video.
Thank You For 25 Years
To everyone who has ever told a friend, left a review, shared a photograph, posted a TikTok, or simply said “you have to try The Carvery” to someone who had never heard of us – thank you! You have been our most powerful advocates over the years, and the reason we’ve been able to continue what we’re doing now, and hopefully, for many more years to come.
